Questions

What do paid plans add?
Storage, and nothing else. Every plan is end-to-end encrypted the same way: your password never leaves your device and your keys are made in your browser. Paying only buys more room.
Who bills me?
Polar, our merchant of record. Polar collects payment, works out sales tax or VAT for your country, and issues invoices. Your card details never touch HushOS.
What happens when I cancel?
Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you can resume before then. After that your allowance returns to the free tier. Nothing is deleted; uploads pause until you are back under your allowance.
Can I switch between monthly and yearly?
Yes. Monthly and yearly are separate plans. Choose the one you want and the prorated difference is charged, or credited, to your saved card straight away. Yearly plans cost ten months.
Is self-hosting free?
Yes. HushOS is AGPL-3.0. Run your own instance with Docker Compose and set any allowance you like. These plans apply only to the hosted service.
